Tony Bellissimo is a dynamic professional entertainer who left his hometown of Buffalo, NY, to make his mark in the entertainment industry. With an impressive repertoire as a dancer and actor, Tony has appeared in notable films such as: This Is Me….Now, La La Land, Step Up 3D, Step Up Revolution, and Step Up: ALL IN. His credits also include roles in Ghostbusters, Rock of Ages, Trolls, Trolls: World Tour, and Trolls: Band Together.
Tony has toured extensively as a backup dancer for renowned artists, including Chris Brown “BTS Tour”, “One Hell OF A Nite Tour” and Rihanna during her “Loud Tour.” His collaborations span an impressive roster of performers, including John Legend, Alicia Keys, Robin Thicke, Britney Spears, Blake Shelton, and Drake. Among his most memorable experiences, Tony counts his performances with Justin Timberlake, highlighting key moments like the Academy Awards for “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” the MTV VMA Vanguard Performance, and the Super Bowl 52 Halftime Show as his “big three.”
Beyond film and stage, Tony’s versatility extends to commercials, music videos, and television shows such as So You Think You Can Dance, Glee and Dancing With the Stars, where he has showcased his talents across various platforms.
In addition to his performance career, Tony has dedicated over a decade to teaching and inspiring aspiring dancers and entertainers. He was a core faculty member and weekend emcee for Tremaine Dance Conventions mentored by dance legend Joe Tremaine since 2010. “If I can make one person in the room believe they can achieve their dreams with the right amount of hard work, dedication and focus then I’ve done my job,” says Tony, embodying his commitment to mentorship.
Tony has trained under an impressive array of instructors, including Joe Tremaine, Gino & Denise Vaccaro, Marty Kudelka, Anthony Thomas, Rich + Tone Talauega, Barry Lather, Marty Dew, Jamal Sims, Hi Hat, Popin Pete, Mr. Wiggles, Bradley Rapier and many other esteemed teachers and choreographers throughout his career.
Tony Bellissimo’s talents extend beyond dance, as he has been cast as an actor by Tyler Perry, Adam Shankman and Jennifer Lopez, reflecting his commitment to the performing arts. With a deep passion for acting, Tony is dedicated to refining his craft and eagerly anticipates future projects that allow him to explore and express his artistic abilities further.
